Shame on you, Kawasaki Heavy Industries!
With a history of legendary shaft drive models like the Drifter 1500, KZ1300 and KZ1100 Spectre, the 2015 lineup contains but a single such machine, the Kawasaki Concourse 1400.
Are motorcycle enthusiasts really on course for a purely belt- and chain-driven future?
How about a shaft-driven Versys 650? Motorcycle couriers, commuters and globetrotters alike would be very excited over such a bike and would surely be thankful for never having to grease a drive chain again..
Or the various Vulcan cruisers - yes of course, they are trying to copy Harley-Davidson - but why not improve on the copy by adding shaft final drive? A drive belt system is easily ruined by a single small stone, a driveshaft on the other hand often outlasts the rest of the motorcycle.
Where I live a chain drive is about as good as a chocolate Tea pot! I have 2 Virago 535's
ReplyDeleteHow about a shaft driven cbf? Hopefuly the rr craze will end soon and they'll make common sense bikes again..
